<t:UNIX:FLAG> — three parts, no spaces. Omit the flag and Discord renders short date/time (f).

Traps that break timestamps
- Spaces inside the brackets —
<t: 123:F>stays plain text. - Markdown around it — bold/italic markers touching the brackets can stop rendering; put a space outside.
- Milliseconds — 13-digit numbers render as year 50,000+. Divide by 1000.
- Embeds and webhooks — timestamps render in embed descriptions and webhook messages too, but some bots escape the brackets; test once.
